| My Approach |
| My approach to every document is focused,
detailed, and thorough. I will work with you through every step
of the editing process to help you produce a great piece of writing! |
| Here's how the process works: |
| You send me a sample of your work. I review it and
get back to you with suggestions and a quote. |
We agree on terms and a due date. I don't prepare
a formal contract unless you request it. Most individuals I help
through my website have smaller projects and so the email exchange
serves as our agreement.
|
| You e-mail me a copy of your manuscript, formatted
as follows: |
> File formats: MS Word
> 12-point Times Roman font
> Double-spaced text with 1-inch margins |
|
| When the edit is complete, I provide you with two
sets of files: one is the marked up manuscript showing my edits
with Word's Track Changes feature, the other is the final, formatted
document with all changes accepted. Many of my clients find having
the marked up file to be extremely helpful and instructive. |
| I return the edits to you along with with an invoice.
I accept payment by personal check or money order. |
| My style expertise includes AMA, Chicago, APA, MLA,
Wired, and AP. My reference materials of choice are Merriam
Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, 10/e; the Chicago Manual
of Style, 15/e; and Words into Type, 3/e; plus a variety
of additional grammar, usage, and reference books. |
| If you have specific questions about your project,
feel free to email me
a query! |
